Connecting the Dots

For those of you new to this blog space or the studio, my name is Cara and aside from running the studio, I love to collaborate. I want to say I kinda live for it. The sharing of ideas that get people super excited about working together gets me super excited, too. I would say I’m a connect-the-dots kind of person.

When I first opened the studio 6 years ago, I reached out to other like-minded businesses in the area as a way to begin a conversation about how we can help each other thrive. When we first formed our Instagram account, we did a #followfriday and featured four businesses who inspired us. We evolved to doing a business-specific #featurefriday to support women-owned businesses in the Conejo Valley. Over the years The Arterie has partnered with varying businesses, schools, and non-profits in our community and beyond. And we have more in store!

Bringing different people and ideas together pushes me out of my extrovert-trapped-inside-an-introvert-comfort-zone because creating something really great is pretty magical. I have big, thrill-seeking, adventure-going dreams. The Arterie is a small but mighty art studio, and I am grateful every single day for every single person who has supported and continues to support us.
