For the Littles: Safari Monoprint Collage

Our latest obsession: these stunning mixed-media safari animal pieces made by by the 5-9 year old class in our studio, and our kindergarten enrichment classes.

In an engaging process with lots of fun steps, children learn about mono printing on gel plates to create the sunset background, collage and papercutting techniques with the grass texture and animal cutouts, and to finish their pieces they get to add their own flair with marker, colored pencil, and sharpie. The results are impressive!
