Charcoal Still Life Drawings

In our 4-6yo classes, students worked in charcoal to draw from observation. We looked at expressing highlights, cast shadows, reflective surfaces, and variations in overall values. Students were given pitchers or tea kettles and lemons to represent. Such expressionistic pieces!
