This week we will be creating our own Inspirational Word Rocks to kick off 2021. I personally love choosing a word each year, and having a tangible and hand-made reminder of it! This is a great activity to do with your family and kids of any age. Little ones might decide to paint a picture of something they love on their rock! We will be using acrylic paint, and I'll go over some basic color mixing and some different font / lettering tips! Can't wait.
Here are the supplies you'll need for this week's sesh:
1-3 collected rocks *washed and dried beforehand (any size - but I usually choose ones that are flat and at least 3 inches across)
acrylic paint / water / drying cloth / paint pallet (can use a piece of foil or paper plate!)
large and detail paint brushes
blow dryer or fan (super helpful between layers!)
pencil and eraser
1 piece of scratch paper
paper towel
a drying area (a piece of wax paper in a cookie tray would work great)
optional: sharpie, paint pens, mod podge + brush, glitter paint, etc.
